Overview
COA is a center of nutrition specialization that certifies health professionals. This project was initiated as an opportunity to provide education to the general public and give a platform to their faculty and graduates by offering an extensive library of courses on nutrition, exercise, pregnancy, and more. I managed the scope of the product by prioritizing features that would improve the user experience and learning outcomes.
Process
To understand user needs, we conducted in-depth reviews with platform delegates, including health professionals and learners. Site wireframing and user testing helped us make assessments to the site structure and contents. We prioritized backlog features like categorized course listings, referral discount codes, automated certificates, and an in-platform appointment booking system and calendar management.
Outcome
The reorganized platform improved course discovery and navigation. Integrating appointment booking directly within courses led to a 40% increase in student-instructor interaction. By effectively managing product scope and prioritizing user needs, the platform became a valuable resource for users seeking on-demand health education with expert guidance. This project highlighted the importance of continuous user feedback and data-driven decision-making for successful e-learning platforms.
